God’s kingdom is the central topic in God’s eternal purpose and plans for mankind and the earth. The entire Bible, the earthly ministry of Jesus, and all of human history revolve around God’s master plan to restore His kingdom on the earth.
But before God’s plan can proceed to the next phase (the Millennial reign of the Messiah), all of creation is waiting for a group of Jesus’ disciples to come into maturity, into the fullness of the stature of Christ. These are the overcomers in the 7 letters to the churches in the Book of Revelation.
- These overcomers will stand in faith, overcoming sin within their own lives.
- Then they will overcome the Devil and his angels, resulting in the Devil’s downfall.
- The Devil’s downfall initiates the Great Tribulation on earth, which will destroy the Devil’s kingdom and give birth to the Millennial reign of Christ.
God is waiting for the manifestation of 144000 sons of God. They’ll arise in holiness and shine with the visible glory of God to all nations.
Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.Isaiah 60:1-3

Finally, they’ll show you how you can become an overcomer, one of the 144000 sons of God that overcomes sin and Satanic principalities and powers at the end of this age.
God’s Kingdom on Earth | Jesus Started it, We’re Going to Finish It
Jesus told His disciples,
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.Matthew 6:33 NASB
Today, 2000 years after Jesus spoke these words, modern mankind has no idea what ‘the kingdom of God and His righteousness’ actually means. Even in the Church, modern mankind is totally ignorant about God’s kingdom, but in these last days God is restoring this truth to His faithful disciples.
Jesus commanded us to “occupy until I come” and extend His kingdom to all nations, making them His disciples. But how are we supposed to occupy and extend His kingdom on the earth? Many Christian disciples are eager to obey and please the Lord in this matter but don’t understand how.
This website provides Christian disciples with the information they need to occupy and extend God’s kingdom, first in their own lives and then in the world around them. Jesus did His part during His earthly ministry. Now it’s time for us to do our part…
Jesus’ Part | Establish the Beachhead for the Kingdom of God
In World War II American Marines pioneered ‘amphibious warfare’ to capture Japanese-held islands across the Pacific. First, they’d take small boats to the beach and cling tightly to a narrow strip of sand at the water’s edge called ‘the beachhead’. Then, they’d quickly bring more men and supplies onto the beachhead before pushing inland to capture each island.
Jesus Did Establish the Beachhead
2000 years ago, when Jesus proclaimed that the Kingdom of God had come, authenticating His message by many miracles, healing, and exorcisms, He was literally announcing the legal transfer of authority and power over creation from the Devil to Himself. He put His foot on the Devil’s head, establishing a beachhead for the kingdom of God in the Satan-controlled earth.
How did He do this? For 4000 years, from Adam until Jesus, every human had sinned. But when Jesus lived a completely sinless life, He earned the right to reclaim the global authority God gave Adam on the 6th day of creation. Here’s what God said:
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.Genesis 1:28
The Kingdom of God Has Come
In proclaiming that the kingdom of God had come, this is what Jesus was really saying: “Through Me, the Kingdom of God is now overpowering and displacing the Devil’s kingdom on earth.
Your throne, O God, is to the age of the age,Hebrews 1:8
and the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
Through righteousness, Jesus had overcome the Devil and He plundered Satan’s kingdom at will. However, while God’s planned earthly kingdom is global, Jesus’ dominion was limited during His earthly ministry. Geographically, He was sent to work only within the boundary of Israel. (Matthew 15:24) For the explanation of why Jesus was geographically limited, read The Overcomers’ Treasure Map.
Our Part | Complete the Spiritual Conquest of All Nations
Following His sacrificial death for our sins and bodily resurrection 3 days later, Jesus informed His disciples that,
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.Matthew 28:18-20
In the ‘Great Commission’ Jesus commanded His disciples to complete the spiritual conquest of all nations for the kingdom of God.
From Israel Out to All Nations
A few days later, on the Day of Pentecost God poured out the Holy Spirit upon 120 disciples in Jerusalem. They proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom to many nations, beginning with 3000 men who believed Peter’s proclamation that same day. These 3000 had come to Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost and they took the gospel back to their respective nations.
The Forgotten Gospel
Sadly, in the 2000 years since that Pentecost, the gospel of the kingdom has been universally forgotten, replaced by the doctrines and traditions of men, resulting in a fractured myriad of man-made, so-called ‘
holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.2 Timothy 3:5
Wheat and Tares | Sheep and Goats
More than 2500 years ago the prophet Daniel contrasted two types of believers who’d live in the end time:
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.Daniel 11:32
- Those who do wickedly against the covenant. They do not pursue God’s kingdom and righteousness. They’re content to follow man-made religions. In this context, ‘wicked’ means disobedient to the word of God. The vast majority of Christians think they’re okay, but they’re not obeying God’s word.
- Those who know their God. These seek God’s kingdom and righteousness, separating themselves from sin and religious Babylon.
Jesus Contrasted Two Types of ‘Believers’
Jesus contrasted these two types of believers. For example, this contrast is plainly seen in all these parables:
- Wheat and the tares
- Wise and foolish virgins
- Wide and narrow gates
- Good and bad fruits
- Building on rock or sand
- Good soil versus hard soil, rocky soil, and thorns
- Pearl of great price
- Prodigal son
- Sheep and the goats
Sadly, Many Who Think They Belong Will Be Rejected
From all these examples, you must conclude that in the coming judgment many who consider themselves to be Christians today will be rejected because they aren’t truly following the Messiah. Jesus confirmed this conclusion, saying:
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’Matthew 7:21-23
According to Jesus, to enter the kingdom of heaven we must do two things:
- Know Him, and
- Do the Father’s will.
Jesus said prophesying, driving out demons, and working miracles are all meaningless if you don’t do these two things.
‘Knowing Jesus’ isn’t simply saying the ‘sinner’s prayer,’ being nice, and going to church regularly.
After initially turning from sin and becoming a disciple of Jesus, ‘knowing Jesus’ means to be daily conforming your soul to His image and righteousness. You do this through continuous communion with God’s Holy Spirit and obedience to His leading.
Doing the Father’s Will
‘Doing the Fathers will’ means obeying Him. In Matthew 7:23, ‘lawlessness’ (Strongs 458: anomia) means disregarding God’s word; including replacing it with the doctrines and traditions of men.
Wherever God’s word is plain He expects us to obey it. His many parables teach us that He will not ignore our disobedience or rationalization.
Romans 8:18-19 NASB
ForI consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
These sons of God are the 144000 of Revelation chapters 7 and 14, and they’ll cause the downfall of the 70 principalities and powers at the end of this age. They will certainly ‘know their God’ and ‘do the Father’s will.’
If you want to be counted among ‘those who know their God’ you must ‘seek first His kingdom and righteousness.’
The Transition to God’s Kingdom on Earth during Daniel’s 70th Week
The cataclysmic destruction of the current world system, which is dominated by Satanic spirits and evil men, will occur during the 7-year period known as Daniel’s 70th week. The latter half of Daniel’s 70th week (3.5 years) is known as ‘the Great Tribulation’ period.
Jesus said this period of ‘great tribulation’ would be more dreadful than any period since the creation; Jesus likened it to the world giving birth to a new age.
But afterward, the earth will enjoy 1000 years of peace and prosperity, with the Devil and all his followers imprisoned. This 1000 year period is the next age in God’s plan–it’s known as the Millennial Reign of the Messiah. It fulfills the foreshadowing of the 7th day of creation, the Sabbath Day when God rested.
Common Questions About the End-time Transition to the Kingdom of God
- So, how and when will the transition to the kingdom of God on earth occur? Are we already in Daniel’s 70th week? Will it be from 2017 to 2024?
2. What is the coming sequence of end time events? What should we be looking for next on our horizon?

It’s been almost 2000 years since Jesus commissioned His Church to make disciples of all nations. Soon, 144000 sons of God will arise as the manifested sons of God, clothed in God’s glory. They’ll make disciples of all nations, displacing the power of the Devil and his angels in every nation, resulting in them being cast down from heaven to earth where they’ll die like men.
